Welcome to the second showing of the cover of Calm Yourself Coloring, the first in my new series of coloring books for adults.
The first showing is here.
Breaking away from intricate abstract designs with an occasional large space design, this selection has a botanical flavor with flowers, birds, butterflies and fruits.
There is a good mix of easy, mid-range and harder designs. I wanted to move away from wildly intricate patterns in this book. My plan is to focus more on larger space designs so more age groups can enjoy them.
The cover was designed by Diana Heuser of DianaHeuser.com. I’ve known Di for several years as a writer and friend. I didn’t know she designed book covers until I asked if she knew someone who did it. I’m very happy with this cover so guess who will be designing my future book covers…
Why this title? Because I calm myself by coloring, especially when I have larger spaces to color. I’ve done fiddly little spaces but got no pleasure from them. Getting into a rhythm with my coloring pencils helps me get into “the meditation zone” – deeply relaxed, and out of the stress zone.
