Have you heard of Kaleidoscope Kreator 3? It comes from KalCollections.com and is one of the best programs to create variations in your designs. The design at the top is one I did earlier.
Why?Because 12 shapes (67 templates total) come as standard. Then there’s their customer service; first rate in my experience. The number of variations you can create out of one simple design is mind-boggling.
Check out this video I made earlier:
I forgot – you can save designs in the dimensions and dpi you want.
How to Get the Variations.
As I showed you in the video, there’s a segment in the middle of the work area. As you move your design across the segment, the variation changes in the box in the top right corner. When you hit a variation you like, click Save Kaleidoscope and the dimensions / dpi box appears. Click Save and that’s it.
Apart from the Celtic Cross, all templates come in different sizes. E.g. Star has 6 points, 8 points, 10 points, 12 points and 16 points. If, say you change from 12 points to 8 points, the variation looks different.
Check out the boxes at the bottom of the screen. X, Y, Scale, Rotation and Reset.
I discovered Scale today and made designs different sizes. Now I know how to get designs with larger spaces for people with sight issues!
Check out this video I recorded earlier:
If you get sick of all those standard templates, you can purchase other template packs. I have snowflakes and filligree packs. They’re ideal for specific orders, such as cake designs.
Here we have a standard design using an eight-segment circle template:
This is a clear design and will look gorgeous when it’s been colored.
Taking this design and using a snowflake template, we have this:
Only the template’s been changed but you can see how much different it looks.
Going back to the original design and using a filigree template, it looks like this:
What a difference! I use filigree templates for people who want a little more control over what they color. They want to feel they’ve played a part in creating the design.
And that is as far as I’ve got with Kaleidoscope Kreator 3.
Check out their website – you won’t be disappointed!
